BEYOND THE GRID: Le Mans star Tom Kristensen on his missed F1 opportunity
Nine-time Le Mans winner Tom Kristensen joins Beyond The Grid to discuss his impressive career and how he came close to racing in F1.

Tom Kristensen always dreamed of competing in F1 as a child, but instead, he found immense success in sportscars and now holds the record for most victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with an incredible nine wins.
What could have been if the racing prodigy, who was on the same trajectory as eventual seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher as a young driver, had taken the gamble of joining an F1 team in the 1990s?
Kristensen joins Beyond The Grid host Tom Clarkson to discuss the "risky" offer he turned down to pursue sportscar racing, as well as the day he showed a champion what he could do in a modern F1 car.
The supremely talented 'Mr Le Mans' also looks back on his history-making days at the world’s most famous endurance race and explains how racing different cars made him a better driver.
