Well, he’s equalled the record – but will he break it? Max Verstappen picked up his ninth straight win this season on home soil, equalling Sebastian Vettel's record run from 2013 and sending the Dutch fans wild. It’s his third straight win at Zandvoort too, as he continues to dominate the 2023 season. So here to discuss all things Verstappen are the crew from F1 Nation.
Tom Clarkson is joined by Christian Menath from Motorsport-Magazin in Germany, and Brazilian F1 journalist Julianne Cerasoli. The three of them delve into a chaotic rain-affected race which saw a slew of pit stops, lots of differing strategies and plenty of drama on track.
Ferrari were one team to struggle, only managing to get Carlos Sainz home in the points – and the Spaniard is on hand to discuss how his weekend unfolded, while his team mate Charles Leclerc gives us some insight into just how his Grand Prix unravelled and culminated in a DNF.
Leclerc will be turning his attention to his team’s home race next up, with Monza following hot on the heels of Zandvoort. Ferrari will be eager to make a step forward on home turf, especially given how hotly contested the points places are now with Aston Martin surging forward, McLaren still looking strong and Mercedes also in the mix.
Finally, Verstappen’s Manager Raymond Vermeulen is on the pod to explain just what makes the young Dutchman such a prolific winner, with the Red Bull racer now cantering towards a third straight world title.
