GALLERY: Check out Alpine’s special pink livery for the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian GPs
Alpine unveiled their blue-and-pink A522 challenger for the 2022 season in a dramatic launch show from Paris. But there was a pink-and-blue challenger to be shown off too, as the team revealed a special livery for the first two Grands Prix of the year.
For the season-opening Bahrain and Saudi Grands Prix, the A522 will wear a predominantly pink paint job, in a nod to new title sponsors BWT, before reverting back to the team’s more regular blue-dominated livery thereafter.
The car will be raced throughout the season by Alpine’s continuing line-up of Esteban Ocon and two-time champion Fernando Alonso – while there’s been a change at the top as well, with Otmar Szafnauer having moved over from Aston Martin to take up the role of Team Principal.
