McLaren have become the first team to confirm details of their 2015 car launch, with the wraps set to come off their new Honda-powered machine in a digital launch on Thursday January 29.
Images and information about the MP4-30 will be revealed online three days before the car is expected to make its public debut at the first pre-season test of the year at Jerez in Spain on February 1-4.
McLaren have recruited two-time F1 world champion Fernando Alonso to partner 2009 champion Jenson Button for 2015, a line-up chairman and CEO Ron Dennis described as "by an order of magnitude the best driver line-up of any current Formula One team".
As was the case in 2014, there will be three pre-season tests this year, all in Spain. Jerez will host the first, while the second and third are in Barcelona on February 19-22 and February 26-March 1 respectively.
The number of in-season tests has been reduced from four to two, however, with Barcelona and Austria's Spielberg circuit the two designated venues. Each will host a two-day test following their respective Grand Prix. As per the new regulations, two of the four days must be reserved exclusively for running young drivers.
