MUST-SEE: Colapinto suffers hefty crash during first Qualifying back in F1 at Imola
Franco Colapinto became the second driver to crash out of Qualifying at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, with the Argentinian bringing out the red flags during his first weekend back in action for Alpine.
As the Q1 segment entered into its final minutes – and Colapinto fought to make it through to Q2 – the 21-year-old took too much kerb at the exit of Turn 3, causing him to spin into the barriers.

While he fortunately reported that he was okay, the Alpine squad are another team that could be faced with a long repair job, joining Red Bull after Yuki Tsunoda dramatically flipped his Red Bull into the wall earlier in the session.
