PRACTICE DEBRIEF: Have we got a four-way fight on our hands in Las Vegas?
Lawrence Barretto combs through the data after Thursday’s practice sessions at the Las Vegas Strip Circuit.

McLaren have never finished higher than sixth in either Qualifying or the Grand Prix in Las Vegas – but Lando Norris' strong pace in Friday practice suggested they have the speed to significantly improve on that record this weekend. Is it enough to fight for the win, though?
McLaren appear to be in the fight for pole
Lando Norris was quickest in second free practice, and while most of his main rivals – including team mate Oscar Piastri – didn't manage to get a soft tyre run because of a red flag for a comparison, it's clear the papaya cars are very much in the fight.
"We have a better feeling in the car than what we had last year, so that's a positive," said Norris. "I felt that from lap one. Of course, not a lot of running in the end, and not really any high-fuel running – but the pace is clearly there."
