SAY WHAT?! From Sainz's despair to a Red Bull tribute, here's the best team radio from the US GP
The race in Austin delivered in spades, from a fight up front for the win between old foes Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, to a dramatic crash between Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, and plenty of strategy dilemmas in between. As such, it was no surprise that the airwaves were full of questions, queries and chatter…
Pole-sitter Carlos Sainz and George Russell had slightly different opinions on their first lap contact that sent the Ferrari man back to the pits and off for an early bath. Sergio Perez was making progress despite a broken front wing, while Valtteri Bottas wasn’t too pleased with how his race ended.

Meanwhile Verstappen was struggling to read the windy conditions, Hamilton was desperately trying to manage his tyres while Lando Norris picked up some pretty chunky debris – but that didn’t stop the McLaren man scything through the field, geed on by his race engineer. And as for Sebastian Vettel, he rolled back the years with some epic wheel to wheel racing with Kevin Magnussen - and loved every second of it.
