The great Ayrton Senna would have turned 60 today, March 21st, so in tribute to the three-time world champion, we've published the video above showcasing some of his best moments in the sport.
The Brazilian ace began his Formula 1 career with the Toleman team in 1984, before switching to Lotus for three seasons, taking his first win in just his second race for the team.
But it was at McLaren where he really hit his stride, winning his first world championship title in his very first season with Ron Dennis's outfit.
It was also at McLaren that his storied rivalry with Alain Prost began. The two were team mates for just two seasons – each beating the other once to the title – before Prost left for Ferrari.
But their careers were forever entwined from the moment Senna joined the Woking team. In the video below, Prost reflects on his complex and evolving relationship with the man who became his friend in the last few months of his life, after years of intense on-track battling.
