Niki Lauda’s rivalry with the late James Hunt remains among the most compelling in Formula One history, with their epic fight for the 1976 drivers’ title the subject of the recent - and much-lauded - film, Rush.
Lauda is still a familiar face in the F1 paddock in his management role with Mercedes, while Hunt - whose son Freddie is himself an aspiring racer - sadly passed away in 1993. We recently gave Freddie the chance to sit down with Niki to learn a little more not just about that famous rivalry with his father, but also about the friendship and respect the two great drivers shared.
