WATCH: Hamilton treats race engineer ‘Bono’ to a hot lap ahead of their last Grand Prix together
It's almost the end of an era as Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes prepare to say farewell after an iconic trophy-laden period together.
With the seven-time world champion preparing to wave goodbye to the team where he won six of his titles, ahead of his move to Ferrari for 2025, it also means it will be the end of some truly special working relationships.
None have proved more important over the years than Hamilton's relationship with his race engineer Pete ‘Bono’ Bonnington, as the long-term partnership comes to an end this week in Abu Dhabi.
To mark the occasion, Hamilton took his colleague for a hot lap of the Yas Marina track ahead of their final Grand Prix as a duo. Click play on the video above to watch.
