Mercedes driver George Russell set the benchmark during Friday practice for the Mexico City Grand Prix, as the F1 field got back up to speed around the tricky Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
Russell produced a time of 1m 19.970s on the 2022-spec C4 soft tyre in the early stages of FP2, while the majority of drivers focused on 2023 testing for tyre suppliers Pirelli.
