Formula 1 is back in business as all 10 cars turned in their first laps of the new 2024 season in Bahrain.
Max Verstappen set the pace during the opening morning session in his new Red Bull, eventually clocking a 1m 32.548s lap around the Bahrain International Circuit.

All 10 F1 teams were able to clock up valuable mileage during the first half of day one, with plenty more to come. Each of the three days of pre-season testing is split into two sessions, with the first running from 1000 to 1400 local time and the second from 1500 to 1900.
