The wait is nearly over for the new series of Formula 1: Drive to Survive, with Netflix confirming the release date for Season 8.

With just weeks to go until the 2026 campaign begins, the perfect pre-season watch will soon be here as Netflix have confirmed the release date for the brand-new series of Formula 1: Drive to Survive.
Season 8 of the hit series – set to arrive on the streaming platform on February 27 – will again give fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the 2025 campaign, a year that saw plenty of action unfold both on and off the track.
The battle for the Drivers’ Championship took several twists and turns, with Oscar Piastri establishing himself as an early favourite before Max Verstappen embarked on a remarkable resurgence in the second half, the Dutchman putting himself right back into the fight.
While Piastri faced a tough spell, McLaren team mate Lando Norris looked in increasingly strong form as the year progressed, and the Briton went on to win a maiden World Championship by just two points at the Abu Dhabi season finale.
Elsewhere there was a closely-fought scrap in the midfield, while various stories hit the headlines away from the circuit.
The latest series of Drive to Survive will be released just before the 2026 season begins, with the Australian Grand Prix kicking off a 24-round calendar on March 6-8.
